MINISTRY TRACKS
As a first year Intern you will spend your year rotating through various ministries and outreaches of The City Church™. We believe that a significant portion of your leadership training can take place only in a “hands-on” environment. Each month you will serve in teams within a department, and then rotate to a new area at the beginning of each month. The Ministry Tracks and training goals are listed to the below:

GENERATION CHURCH™ | Generation Church™ is The City Church's™ dynamic youth service attended by over 1300 weekly at different campuses (Kirkland, University District, Issaquah Plateau, and the Central District). Over the span of 9 months, you will be trained in all aspects of youth ministry ranging from behind-the-scenes administration to leading people to Jesus Christ at the altar. Because every area of ministry is vital to the success of the Generation Church™ program, you will have hands-on experience in how to greet people, communicate with visitors, connect small group leaders with new people, usher during services and conferences and how to pray for people at the altar, including leading them to the Lord and into the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and how to follow-up with visitors.

CHURCH ADMINISTRATION | As a thriving local church with many branches of ministry, Generation Interns™ are able to be trained to serve in its administration and management systems. You will be involved first-hand in projects such as copying, filing, running errands, mailings, phone calls, answering e-mails, and performing administrative tasks. You will also be trained in preparing and hosting conference and events as well as in the ministry of hospitality. Some interns are also to be trained in the operation of retail sales through our bookstore.

CITY MINISTRIES | The City Church™ has responded to Christ's mandate to feed and clothe the poor by creating City Ministries - its social service outreach. As a Generation Intern™ you will have the privilege to not only be trained in a biblical philosophy of ministering to the poor, you will also gain valuable experience as you participate in warehouse organization, delivering bread to low-income housing communities, praying for people receiving goods, and by praying for people at the Seattle Prayer Station. This ministry track alone will touch your heart for the world and teach you how to share the love of Jesus Christ with all people.

STARTLINE® | As a Generation Intern™, you will have opportunities to be involved on jr. high, high-school and college campuses. You will be able to participate as a member of the ministry team in a weekly urban cadre, relating to youth from all economic and ethnic backgrounds. You will also be involved in STARTLINE® Campus Classes. STARTLINE® is a curriculum which teaches issues of character development to youth and will give you an opportunity to interact one-on-one with students in facilitating debriefing discussions and more.

CITY KIDS | The City Kids Ministry at The City Church™ is one of the most exciting and rewarding areas of involvement. You will be trained in the current philosophy and future vision of children's ministry and see those concepts worked out on a weekly basis. You will be involved in creating and executing Wednesday night and Sunday morning productions with the staff of The City Church™ as well as having an opportunity to minister to the children of the community through our apartment complex outreach.

T.V. MEDIA | The City Church™ is involved with cutting-edge audio and video production. As a Generation Intern™ you may have the opportunity to be trained in the various aspects of audio and video production, including taping, camera work, producing PowerPoint visuals, organizing the photo library or video library and much more. In addition to audio and video production, interns will have an opportunity to be involved in graphic design print publications as well as other printed materials. This is one of our newest and most exciting ministry tracks.
